BWOC came to us while operating out of a site that was unchanged from when they originally acquired it; the building was dated and in need of some attention, both structurally and internally. Part of the business had also been relocated so the building needed re-configuring, while showing remaining staff the company was still invested in them staff

BWOC is a bulk fuel supplier supplying fuel to commercial users, distributors, retailers, garages, and bunker fuel users.

Taking inspiration from their oil tankers I looked to introduce this form into their workspace through playful and inviting breakout zones.

Bespoke acoustic baffle breakout

Poseur-high breakout space set in a barrel-like awning, encouraging dynamic discussions and collaboration.

Relaxed breakout ‘den’ central to the wider open plane office.

Walled with planters, taking advantage of the biophilia benefits provided by plants in the office
